Vehicle operations was added to the CPR performance in 1983, allowing each EMT & paramedic team to demonstrate their CPR and driving skills over a specified road course. While each member drives, CPR is performed by other teammates on recording mannequins in the patient compartment. A written CPR examination is also included in the performance score.
